Okra & Ham Rollups

Okra & Ham Rollups

Okay, so I know this isn’t anything new, but I wanted to post this because they are sooo good (and addicting)! This quick and simple appetizer is perfect for any gathering or event.

What you need:
1 pack of sliced sandwich ham (rectangular shaped helps)
8 ounces of cream cheese
1 jar of pickled okra

What to do:
Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature, or pop it in the microwave for a bit. You just need it to soften enough to spread it.

Take one slice of ham and spread a little bit of cream cheese all over. Make sure it’s a thin layer!

Take an okra and cut the ends off.

Put the okra on top of the cream cheese layer, but at one end of the slice of ham. This will allow you to roll it.

Repeat until you have as many rollups as you need.

Roll it up and put it in the fridge for a little bit (about 15 minutes). This will allow the cream cheese to firm up again so it’s easier to slice.

Cut bite size pieces from each roll (~1/4 inch), then lay flat on a platter. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until you’re ready to serve it!

Easy stuff, huh?

**FYI: You might want to make extra…you’ll be snacking on them without realizing it!

Enjoy!
