spinach artichoke dip

my recipe

  • 1/2 medium onion, diced20140205-092456.jpg
  • 1 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 pounds spinach
  • 1 small jar of artichoke hearts
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 6 ounces reduced-fat bar cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • baguette slices and breadsticks


preheat oven to 425 degrees. in a large pot, heat oil over medium. add onion and garlic; cook until lightly browned, 5 to 8 minutes.  add spinach in two additions, letting the first batch wilt before adding the next; cook until completely wilted.  transfer to a colander; drain, pressing to release all excess liquid.  in the same pot, warm milk over high heat.  add about a tbsp of the juice from the artichoke jar to the milk. whisk in cream cheese until melted, about 3 minutes. add spinach mixture, chopped artichokes, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, parmesan and mozzarella; stir to combine. season…
